Sell Coaching Now And The Top 25 Careers To Take Advantage Of In A Recession

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Today’s blog post focuses on a business niche market within the auto industry that is achieving record breaking sales. Discover how to think strategically inside these top two of 25 careers to be in when facing a recession as an entrepreneur while you focus on creating and selling high priced programs.

Meet Kathy Gillen as a case study representing thousands of entrepreneurs who are turning turning their passion into coaching and selling high priced products and services using this system.

While the recession has hit most of the auto industry hard, there’s one sector inside of the auto industry that seems to be avoiding the trend. Ferrari.Ferrari

For example, according to a CNN report yesterday, sales are up for the Ferrari of Tampa dealership.

What! Haven’t people who are buying luxury cars heard that we are going through a recession?

In a blog post by HR World, the editors provide 25 careers to pursue in a recession. It is the final two that I want to focus on.

The 24th suggestion includes ultra luxury items. In fact the editors of this post state that there will never be a lack of demand on these items. Why? Since there will always be target markets who have handled their money well to weather recessions and down turns in the economy. There will always be a wealthy segment of your business niche market that not only has money but wants to spend it in a big way.

This is one of the reasons why Ferrari sales are up in Tampa and else where.

BUSINESS NICHE MARKETING NOTE: In one of the top three hardest hit industries in the U.S.—the auto sector—there exists niche markets (luxury cars) and a unique category (Ferrari) where money can be made.

Here’s The Message For You: 1. In every industry—even the automotive industry—there exists niche markets for you to create a unique category where you can create major cash flow for your business—even in recessionary times!

In the book that will be coming out later this year in book stores (You can grab a free copy of Become The #1 Expert In Your Niche: How To Effectively Sell High Priced Programs) I cover two critical concepts. As an entrepreneur your quickest way to leverage your asset—turn your passion and expertise into high priced programs—is to understand the difference between commodity value and dividend value (You can read about this further beginning on page 11 of the book.)

Let’s use the automotive sector as a business niche example. Commodity value as an asset can be likened to the car lots and show rooms today of cars not being sold by the Big Three Automakers in North America.

Dividend Value as an asset, on the other hand, can be likened to the car lots of Ferrari sellers and other high end luxury cars. Not only are people purchasing Ferraris at up to $300,000 U.S. a vehicle when cheaper brands can’t sell their vehicles, but they are doing this a record pace.

The key in creating dividend value is that you own a category within a niche market. And within this category there exists hot, hungry buyers who have money and want to spend it. (Notice, I state they want to spend it and not that they need to spend it.)

This leads us to the 25th recommendation of how to profit in a recession from HR World. The editors state that everyone must have other sources of income such as investing, online income and freelancing.

More accurately as an entrepreneur you must focus on creating a unique category that will allow you to turn your passion and expertise into the most expensive programs in your industry. Hungry wants from your target market are fufilled the best when you are also passionate about feeding their desires.Business Niche Marketing Homework

How To Sell High Priced Products Easily With This Business Niche Marketing Strategy

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Here is a quick reality check for your business niche marketing efforts. Let me be right up front with you, just as if you were one of my own clients.

If you do NOT like what I say, please unsubscribe right now, or phone me in my office and tell me how ‘full of it I really am.’ (By the way, I learned to develop some pretty thick skin when I was a young Vice Principal five years ago!)Risk

If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions you and your business are in trouble–BIG TROUBLE:

Business Niche Marketing Reality Check Quiz

1. You are on several email lists trying to put together a cogent plan for your business.

2. You purchase the cheapest products in hopes of a huge pay day.

3. You think that purchasing products for their thud factor (the typical 97 DVD Set with 5,000 compendium report) is going to be your answer building your business.

4. You think you are in business because you have taken courses in coaching from accredited coaching programs.

5. You think that building your business begins with creating a business funnel that begins by selling a book, CD or DVD.

6. You believe that making it in business involves the same skill sets as teaching you how to be successful in business.

7. You are constantly being tricked into thinking that ‘no risk’ and wealth are synonymous.

Be honest with yourself. I had to be and the truth really hurt me as I answered yes to every one of these questions 7 years ago!

(By the way, this is why I have written a new book. You can get the eBook version for free from http://SellHighPricedPrograms.com right now. I would. It will profoundly influence the way that you view your marketing to capitalize on being at the forefront of the Recommendation Age.)

I have NOT met one entrepreneur today who does NOT want to make money. The reality is that few of you will be able to do this successfully unless you understand the urgency of the times.Cheap Vs. Value

As I travel around the globe and entrepreneurs share their dreams with me–their desire to turn their passion and expertise into an ‘information’ business–I am amazed at their passion and desire to do this! It is quite commendable!

However, at the same time I am burdened by the lack of clarity of thinking that they have. Even seasoned entrepreneurs lack an unbelievable lack of clarity in what they do. Add to this the inability to clearly tell me how they are going to transform their ideas into an executable plan, they quickly showcase how unready they are to leverage the Recommendation Age.

Watch today’s short video to discover how you can easily create embedded commands to choose you as you create high priced products.

1. Control your potential clients’ Q&A Session. Harness this ability and discover the foundation to quickly and easily create and sell high end products and services.

2. Quick cash flow for your business is dependent on you positioning yourself within a defined category inside of your niche market. Use this simple strategy to perfectly align your passion and expertise to a market place that will quickly see you as not the ‘WalMart’ or ‘Home Depot’ of your industry.

3. How to position what you do to be seen as the standard of your industry.

I will not trick you into letting you believe that creating real wealth in the Recommendation Age is easy. However, what I will tell you is this–with a system that I create with clients on a daily basis, never has it been easier to do this–but you must be willing to say that you ‘flunked’ the above quiz.

I believe in your dream. And that’s why I created this video series–to help you think and play big. Time is short. Most people do NOT know that we live in the Recommendation Age, let alone how to leverage the new rules for dominating this age.

How To Leverage These Four Gaps In Your Business Niche Marketing Right Now

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

This is Part IIIb of business niche counterintuitive principle #3 to leverage your home business skills. (Failure to email with the right frequency so that you get unsubscribes. Unsubscribes are testimony that you are actually staying in front of your ideal clients. With over 1,800 video business niche testimonials you can take that to the bank! :-))

Before we get going today with this business niche marketing principle, make sure you watch the 10 second business niche video below. It demonstrates the most power teaching method and that is teaching by modelling. Watch this live coaching as my 11 year old son Calum shoots this video and understand this concept right now. “It’s not about perfection, it’s about perception.” (READ…It’s not about perfection, it’s about gaining momentum.).

There are four business niche gaps in the market place that are tied to people’s negative perception. The four gaps are as follows: time, money, expertise and mastery.

As you think through your differentiation note there will be some overlap of these four areas. The key is to integrate your business niche marketing around these four gaps.

I will define each of them and then provide you a couple of examples.

1. Time. This is probably the most important gap in your market place. The Information Age has led us to become time deprived. This is where Zipf’s Law can be leveraged the best for your business. Remember our definition of Zipf’s Law: with limited opportunity to experiment and choose, your ideal clients will choose the person/company perceived to be on top in your business niche.

Perception is everything. Quit spending time on creating training materials and focus on perception. Perception is the domain where marketing lies.

(Did you re-read what I just wrote? READ…Read it again!)

Marketing = Perception

Perception is always tied to emotion.

Remember our definition of the Recommendation Age: It is primarily first and foremost the transference of emotion.

NOTE: in saying this, never has content been more important.

BUT: Perception trumps content.

AND…Marketing i.e. perception is the only variable that trumps content in the Recommendation Age in any business niche.

Speed To Market Business Niche Principle: Good business niche marketing is always tied to the negative perception—i.e. the negative emotion (READ story)—that your target market has of your competitors.

To make your business niche marketing work in the Recommendation Age (READ…turn an idea into a powerful recommendation) create your business niche system so that it provides specific benefits that can be measured.

For example: Author And Get Rich, our flagship book, doesn’t just teach you how to author a book when you have no time (READ…quickly)…this is too vague…but it teaches you how to write a book fast in less than 12 hours…(READ specific benefits that no one else can do in the area of author coaching business).

It also is tied to the negative perception of other books that promise to help you write a book in a week or in a month, but does NOT do what every one needs help with: a specific plan of business niche execution that can be implemented in as little as 5 minutes a day using the Write A Book Fast Entrepreneurial Authoring Genealogy Trees.

The second business niche gap in the market place has to do with money. If you can help someone make money or save money this is great way to tie what you do into a critical negative perception.

Everyday I hear this lazy thinking: “All I want to do is make money!”

NOTE: money can’t actually be made. The amount of money is finite in circulation. Money always flows through two basic funnels and these are the areas of ‘wants’ and ‘needs’. The key is to align what you do to a hungry market that has deep pockets and will willingly channel some of this flow your way in the form of a value exchange.

Market places such as stock markets are by nature win/lose institutions. (This is very evident over the past few days.)

The successful entrepreneur realizes that the key to the Recommendation Age is to create a win/win scenario.

The best way to do this is to consider that purchases are created at the ‘want’ level. Your business niche market will always make one’s purchase at an emotional level and justify this at a cognitive level. (READ…emotional first, cognition second).

The key to helping your business niche market make money and/or save money is to tie a want to a need.

Remember Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. If the basic needs of food, water and shelter are not provided, people will never focus on the greater needs that are available to them.

NOTE: If your target market is focused only at this level, this is a bad market to be in.

However, the key to success in any market is to always tie Maslow’s higher need levels to the hungry wants that your system provides solutions to.

Speed To Market principle: Tie the want that your business niche market has and align it with Maslow’s highest NEED levels: the need to experience purpose and self actualization.

Or another way of saying this…

When it comes to helping your business niche market make money or save money, ensure your target market invests with ONLY you by aligning the want (emotion) of your ideal client with the need (the justified or rational decision), Make the ‘want’ and the ‘need’ synonymous.

In the next Author And Get Rich blog post, I will share with you how to capitalize on two little understood gaps that exist in your market place in the areas of ‘expertise’ and ‘mastery’.

NOTE: The secret to wealth in the Recommendation Age is to capitalize as the Thought Leader of your business niche in the expertise and mastery gaps that exist in your market.

To Your Legacy!
