Many people I speak with today are stuck in their pasts. They are trapped by the story that is holding them back that has been hard wired in their subconscious for years—even decades. Some live their lives as if their ‘glory moments’ are through for them.

Please write this Speed To Market principle down right now: “Reflect on the past, in the present, for the future.”

What really matters is what you do with your past. How are you going to share the pain and the ‘glory moments’ with an audience who wants your experiences?

What truly matters is what you do with you life book.

What is a life book? It is your book that is an accumulation of your experiences where you solve a specific problem.

Someone who has placed great emphasis on building relationships where one has a large emotional credit in one’s favor.

Et cetera.

Now what do you suggest that I do given this situation?

One of the fundamental principles which was responsible for my success is that I have never moved faster in life than when I have invested in myself financially. In fact, my greatest advancements have always been congruent to the size of my investment. How do I balance coaching someone live with the fundamental principle that I stand by whole-heartedly. It’s this: one will NEVER move forward fully if there is not a significant investment made.

I have proved this over and over again in my life whether it has been in the area of sports, working out in the gym, or building my own businesss. When I invested in my self, I always performed at the highest level possible.

In fact, I have noticed that there is something cool about investing in yourself. I remember when I hired my first business coach—we did NOT have any money by the way and had to open up another line of credit. It felt great. There was this quiet calm that I was ready to stand up and be accountable. I knew at a gut, viscereral level it was my time.

I am curious about what you think about this problem that I am wrestling with.
