Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

How to Strategically Position the Importance Of What You Do Into The Urgency Of Now In Your Own Business Niche. Your Own Strategic Design Model is the anwer to sell high priced programs and to sell high priced products.

Before I share with you how to turn an idea into strong business niche positioning, yesterday I received a few emails that stated that two other people teach the importance of selling high priced programs.

And they are certainly correct.

In fact, Wayne form Walkerton, Indiana states this, “I also wonder if you aren’t over stating it when you say that no-one is teaching these things. I can think of two people off the top of my head who recommend selling high end products over low.
Thanks Glenn!”

Answer: NO one is teaching how to do this. And not only this, NO one is teaching this using a specific system which includes how to create a strategic model.

(By the way…Wayne, thanks for your comment and I want to thank you for investing in the eBook at http://SellHighPricedPrograms.com.)

A critical secret to instantly turning any idea into a $10,000 program is to strategically position the importance of what you do into the urgency of now.

The quickest way of positioning your worth is to create a strategic design model that contains seven critical business niche elements.

In fact the number is probably 100% as I have not found one entrepreneur who does this! I repeat: NOT one!

One of the quickest ways to think strategically is found on today’s sell high priced programs’ video below.

P.S.

Yes, I know it’s scary to step out in a big way. This is why I am providing this video series as an educational service of http://SellHighPricedPrograms.com to help you.

My three biggest regrets that I discovered after selling my first $100,000 programs were these:

1. Stepping out in a big way is not that scary. What was scaries was thinking about it separate from taking action with a concrete game plan.

2. When I accomplished my first sale of this magnitude, I realized how much I was undervaluing my time.

3. One of the critical keys in providing me this confidence is found on today’s video…knowing these 7 critical elements to position your strategic design model. Watch now…

My Identity Crisis In The Sauna Yesterday…And In Reality This Is You!

Friday, November 14th, 2008

Has this ever happened to you while you were changing after a good work out?

Yesterday after my trainer, Lyle Dennis, kicked my butt I was in the change room, just heading off to the sauna for a 30 minute ‘cool down’.

As I was walking past the second row of lockers, a guy that I recognized walked past me and said, “Hey, Mike!”

Now this is the second time he has done this. The first time I was not sure whether he called me ‘Mike’, but after yesterday’s scenario, my suspicion was confirmed.

Now that lead to an awkward situation and it is the same situation that each of us is confronted as a business niche expert or entrepreneur faced with the new realities of the Recommendation Age.

(Incidentally, the reality of the current recession only speeds up the reality of Zipf’s Law–one of the fundamental laws of the Recommendation Age. In fact, the great news is that is makes it even easier to become the business niche leader that your target market will choose for a life time!)

What ran through my mind was this: “Do I ignore the incorrect name or if I did want to correct him, how would I do this tactfully?”

This got me thinking, while I was sitting in the sauna, about the business niche market place that each of us is competing in.

So as I sat in the sauna, I began thinking about this from a marketing situation.

I am sure each of you has gone through an awkward situation such as this where someone has repeatedly called you by the incorrect name and in front of others to make matters worst!

It’s embarrassing isn’t it?

And in some ways it taps into our own insecurities…our own identify of who we are and how to take a stand on our identity.

As I was relaxing in the sauna (recuperating my I.T. Band injury) I thought of how for many years I was scared of my own identity! I was insecure when someone asked me what my dreams were. I was very frightful of telling others what I really wanted to be doing in life.

When it came time to speak up for myself in front of others, I cowered.

Today, I see so many entrepreneurs from all different business niches doing this with their businesses. I see entrepreneurs who choke like I did for so many years because of fear.

I saw myself the way that I used to be when someone called me by the incorrect name and I became all wishy-washy inside as to what to do.

Here is the big problem.

Being unprepared.

Being unprepared to take a stand for who you are.

This is the fundamental principle for selling high priced programs…in fact, the most expensive ones in your niche. (PR Expert Rich Frishman has an interesting way of telling others what we do: “Glenn helps others build big backends! :->)

It’s about claiming a space in the market place.

It’s about being clear with the correct marketing that ensures your target market knows who you are and specifically what you can for them.

So the next time someone thinks you do something with your business that you don’t, you do NOT need to embarrass them. Here is what you need to do:

Tell them that before they move forward with anyone in your industry they need to go to a website (Your URL) where you provide them the correct questions to ask of your competitors. (Remember you must be seen as the objective Thought Leader of your niche.)

Notice you are not focusing on how great you are, but on them.

The best customers are those who realize the power of your education.

We all have periodical identity crises…

The best way of solving these moments are to be clear on who you are and what you do.

The problem that this man who called me ‘Mike’ has is that on a daily basis he receives thousands of messages and my name is not high on the list to remember!

However, in business this is a huge reality of an overcrowded market place.

People don’t know who you are and they don’t care. That’s the reality.

The most successful entrepreneurs in the Recommendation Age are those who are able to easily bypass this resistance that their ideal clients have of them and what they do.

Critical question: How good is your marketing to overcome information overload?

(You can either think this through in the sauna or you can call me at 519.542.3043. Just don’t call me ‘Mike’ as I might not know what to say!)

Glenn Dietzel Is A Bad Father To His Sons–A Rumor Circulating Sarnia, Ontario

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

That’s right.

That’s the rumor within a small circle of parents in Sarnia, Ontario.

What am I doing that has caused this rumor?

According to a small group of parents whose GIRLS play travel basketball here is what I am doing…(by the way, we have boys!!)…

Rumor 1. I make my boys get up at 5:00 AM and practice basketball.

Rumor 2. I also am hiring one of the top basketball coaches in the U.S. and bringing him to Sarnia, Ontario to get help my children excel above other kids their age.

Rumor 3. And finally I am forcing my kids to train several hours a day to help them get to the NBA since I failed myself to do this.

Those are the three rumors that are flying around Sarnia all because I am working with my children to practice what I teach my clients.

Now let me set the record straight and then share a principle with you with respect to your business.

1. My boys, Calum and Cameron, do NOT get up at 5:00 AM! They get up at 7:00 AM and practice for 45 minutes before school begins. They also practice for about an hour after school before games or practices. On days that they do not have a practice or a game, they train for two hours.

Before they begin each practice session they always review their dreams and their goals to help them align and associate their subconscious thinking with the reality of the present.

2. Yes, they have attended camps run by one of the top basketball coaches in the U.S., but we are not doing anything secretive in the way of bringing this person to our home town!

3. Yes, I failed to make the NBA. And yes, I didn’t even get the chance to try out for a team…imagine that…not even one NBA team recognizing my talent! (I am a 5 foot 10 white male who can’t jump, can’t palm the basketball and lots of other ‘cannots’…but who loves the game and I still enjoy competing!)

And now the lesson.

As soon as you attempt to move out of the norm (’regression to the mean’ is what I like to refer to this as) be ready to have all kinds of people wanting to spread rumors. Why is this? Ultimately, it is because you are viewed as a threat. After all, who are you to move ahead? Who are you to go for a Big Dream? Who are you for wanting to leave a legacy?

Well for one, that perfectly describes me.

And two, that would describe my sons.

Both of them have written down their big dreams which includes daily goals that they are going after each day. Both of my sons review their dreams and their goals each day to make powerful associations with where they want to go, how the completion of specific goals each day will get them their. And most importantly by reviewing their dreams each day they are aligning their subconscious minds to see themselves there as they put themselves through their training.

And both of them have done this on their own volition. If we don’t get them up in time to practice before school they are mad.

In fact, we have had our kids in many different sports and extracurricular activities, but basketball is their first love. Calum, my oldest, happens to also be a talented cross country runner who finished first in our city meet just recently. Cameron also plays travel soccer.

And finally, what these parents who are spreading these rumors fail to realize is that I also provide our boys travel basketball team two extra practices each week where I work with them directly. I am very much interested in helping other kids, not just my own, set goals and working with them to accomplish them.

After all this is what allowed my students to win all kinds of academic and sports’ championships when I was a teacher working with other parents’ kids.

Key Question: What is one of the best things I can do for my own children?

Answer: Teach them how to capture that dream that exists in their heart and support them in their efforts to make that come true in their lives.

And isn’t that what all of us who are parents really want for our children?

And be ready for the rumors to spread about how wrong it is for you to do anything outside of the norm–whatever the norm is!

Afterall this is what we warn all of our clients–standing up for your passion and moving toward what you really want to be doing in life will always cause conflict.

In fact, it reflects a war between two schools of thought and two economies–the traditional approach versus a secret ecomony that exists in each of our hearts–the desire to leave a legacy!

To Your Legacy!
