The head of marketing for ADOBE was so impressed that a Vice Principal (I was still in my job at that time) was leading the field in authoring and e-publishing with a system to help anyone write a book fast and build the necessary home business skills. They were further impressed that it was being done from a teaching and learning perspective. (To date, there is NO one doing this even though some of my competitors who have been coached by me are trying to appear to do this.)

An Aside…Advanced Book Marketing Speed To Market Principle: The ability to build a business quickly and then teach others how to do it are mutually exclusive skill sets. That is, just because you have done it (and there are really only just a few who have), doesn’t mean you can teach it!

Shortly thereafter I received a phone call from one of the CEOs of BookSurge, which has since been purchased by Amazon.com, wanting to do business with my company. In fact, just recently I shared on a previous blog post how Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon.com, thanked me publicly at Book Expo before a live audience as he received a copy of our book on how to write a book fast.

Prepare for this kind of growth: companies who want to do business with you because they see the win/win.

Now, the story behind this blog post.

Some of the largest companies in the market who have very limited thinking will not be able to see a win/win with you and your company so they play out of perceived fear. Perceived fear is what constitutes most types of fear today…perceived fear really comes from the ‘what if’ scenario and is psychologically based with virtually no chance of this happening.

Real fears on the other hand are reality based and have a high probability of occurring. For example, a real fear is that if my young child walks out in front of traffic she/he will probably be hit. The probability is very good that this will happen.

What does perceived fear look like in business? The ultimate form of perceived fear is threatening a law suit against someone else because that company is scared. The ultimate source of perceived fear is jealousy.

This type of win/lose thinking ultimately comes from limited thinking and a limited world view on the opportunities that exist for each of us.

My company has been under attack from a very big organization who want the rights to my domain name (http://AuthorAndGrowRich.com), they want me to change my book title with its focus on how to write a book fast etc.

In fact, here is another example of the power of what I teach around rapid home business skills deployment. I got noticed by this company right from the inception of launching my idea into the market place, and this happened even though many companies have domain names related to mine and have been in the market years before me! This organization is using me as a case study to build legal precedence before they go after these other companies.

Here is an extremely important point I want you to understand. Yes, market feedback is critical to your success, but competitor feedback in this manner can even be a greater form of feedback for you!

This is a company that has deep pockets and even though there are numerous other companies that have owned similar domain names for a lot longer than I have, they are beginning with me.

Because we are perceived as a threat.

And because they live in a world with limited opportunities.

However, they continued to confront my company and instead of fighting this in court which is where it was going—as much as I would have loved to do this—I did NOT want to expend my energy in a negative fashion—so I made the executive decision to republish our book under a new title and have just moved our domain name to http://AuthorAndGetRich.com.

Prepare to offer your family opportunities that you would never have dreamed of offering them before including trips to exotic places and putting your kids in the best sports’ camps and extracurricular programs that were once not only a dream, but something that you would never have considered.

Prepare for an influx of cash flow that will allow you to immediately invest back into your business including hiring the right people to build systems in your company so that you can grow your business.

Today’s lesson and an advanced speed to market principle I want to share with you has to do with this: the danger of becoming too famous too quickly. What happens when you tick off the big boys with Recommendation Age book marketing strategies?

Many of my authoring business coaching clients in our live coaching, one-on-one mentoring, and entrepreneurial authoring programs have witnessed what I am going to share today.

In fact, it reflects the war of paradigms. The war of egos. It represents the collision of two philosophies: the establishment and the proverbial ‘new kid on the block.’

I’ve always been told that you are not really in business until you have people working for you.

And I agree with that.

Prepare to have your competitors speak badly of you—even in public—in fact, I have blogged before about a big name online who saw me as a threat practice a blackhat marketing strategy where he forged a business relationship with me and then had the audacity to create media releases around this! He even used some of our book marketing key words to try and siphen off some of our traffic! (It’s unbelievable how far jealous and threatened people will go!)

Now I know this sounds negative, but having a successful business presents it’s problems that I want you to be aware. The best way of dealing with these situations is to be aware of them in advance. Be ready when you decide to write a book fast and build the most expensive programs in your niche!
