How To Leverage These Four Gaps In Your Business Niche Marketing Right Now

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

This is Part IIIb of business niche counterintuitive principle #3 to leverage your home business skills. (Failure to email with the right frequency so that you get unsubscribes. Unsubscribes are testimony that you are actually staying in front of your ideal clients. With over 1,800 video business niche testimonials you can take that to the bank! :-))

Before we get going today with this business niche marketing principle, make sure you watch the 10 second business niche video below. It demonstrates the most power teaching method and that is teaching by modelling. Watch this live coaching as my 11 year old son Calum shoots this video and understand this concept right now. “It’s not about perfection, it’s about perception.” (READ…It’s not about perfection, it’s about gaining momentum.).

There are four business niche gaps in the market place that are tied to people’s negative perception. The four gaps are as follows: time, money, expertise and mastery.

As you think through your differentiation note there will be some overlap of these four areas. The key is to integrate your business niche marketing around these four gaps.

I will define each of them and then provide you a couple of examples.

1. Time. This is probably the most important gap in your market place. The Information Age has led us to become time deprived. This is where Zipf’s Law can be leveraged the best for your business. Remember our definition of Zipf’s Law: with limited opportunity to experiment and choose, your ideal clients will choose the person/company perceived to be on top in your business niche.

Perception is everything. Quit spending time on creating training materials and focus on perception. Perception is the domain where marketing lies.

(Did you re-read what I just wrote? READ…Read it again!)

Marketing = Perception

Perception is always tied to emotion.

Remember our definition of the Recommendation Age: It is primarily first and foremost the transference of emotion.

NOTE: in saying this, never has content been more important.

BUT: Perception trumps content.

AND…Marketing i.e. perception is the only variable that trumps content in the Recommendation Age in any business niche.

Speed To Market Business Niche Principle: Good business niche marketing is always tied to the negative perception—i.e. the negative emotion (READ story)—that your target market has of your competitors.

To make your business niche marketing work in the Recommendation Age (READ…turn an idea into a powerful recommendation) create your business niche system so that it provides specific benefits that can be measured.

For example: Author And Get Rich, our flagship book, doesn’t just teach you how to author a book when you have no time (READ…quickly)…this is too vague…but it teaches you how to write a book fast in less than 12 hours…(READ specific benefits that no one else can do in the area of author coaching business).

It also is tied to the negative perception of other books that promise to help you write a book in a week or in a month, but does NOT do what every one needs help with: a specific plan of business niche execution that can be implemented in as little as 5 minutes a day using the Write A Book Fast Entrepreneurial Authoring Genealogy Trees.

The second business niche gap in the market place has to do with money. If you can help someone make money or save money this is great way to tie what you do into a critical negative perception.

Everyday I hear this lazy thinking: “All I want to do is make money!”

NOTE: money can’t actually be made. The amount of money is finite in circulation. Money always flows through two basic funnels and these are the areas of ‘wants’ and ‘needs’. The key is to align what you do to a hungry market that has deep pockets and will willingly channel some of this flow your way in the form of a value exchange.

Market places such as stock markets are by nature win/lose institutions. (This is very evident over the past few days.)

The successful entrepreneur realizes that the key to the Recommendation Age is to create a win/win scenario.

The best way to do this is to consider that purchases are created at the ‘want’ level. Your business niche market will always make one’s purchase at an emotional level and justify this at a cognitive level. (READ…emotional first, cognition second).

The key to helping your business niche market make money and/or save money is to tie a want to a need.

Remember Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. If the basic needs of food, water and shelter are not provided, people will never focus on the greater needs that are available to them.

NOTE: If your target market is focused only at this level, this is a bad market to be in.

However, the key to success in any market is to always tie Maslow’s higher need levels to the hungry wants that your system provides solutions to.

Speed To Market principle: Tie the want that your business niche market has and align it with Maslow’s highest NEED levels: the need to experience purpose and self actualization.

Or another way of saying this…

When it comes to helping your business niche market make money or save money, ensure your target market invests with ONLY you by aligning the want (emotion) of your ideal client with the need (the justified or rational decision), Make the ‘want’ and the ‘need’ synonymous.

In the next Author And Get Rich blog post, I will share with you how to capitalize on two little understood gaps that exist in your market place in the areas of ‘expertise’ and ‘mastery’.

NOTE: The secret to wealth in the Recommendation Age is to capitalize as the Thought Leader of your business niche in the expertise and mastery gaps that exist in your market.

To Your Legacy!

This is Part III Of The Five Counter-Intuitive Niche Principles To Leverage Your Home Business Skills

Few entrepreneurs and marketers today know that I have personally mentored many of today’s leading online marketers in the area of helping them create their business niche and aid their business niche marketing. Yes, you probably know that we have worked with Joel Comm, Ken McArthur, Anik Singal, Len Foley, Jill Lublin et cetera. Many of them you will NOT know since I am under an NDA.

In fact, at every event I routinely have the biggest names coming up to me to provide them with coaching especially when it comes to helping them with proper positioning in their business niche and helping them create their business backend with proper business niche marketing.

It astounds me that many of them don’t even ask what my coaching costs, and yet they are ready to pay whatever it costs. What astounds me even more is that many of these people do business coaching!

What I am going to share with you today (which is the third counter-intuitive principle that you need to understand about business niche dominance and building the correct home business skills) is so critical to your success, I want you to STOP everything you are doing and make sure you are clear on these three fundamental questions before I talk about the four market gaps that you need to be aware of.

What I am going to share with you is what clients invest huge sums of money for me to help them identify the market gap that they fufill.

STOP what you are doing right now. You must understand these four market gaps…

But first.

In our Awakened Ideation Process(TM), we discuss the importance of asking our clients three fundamental questions from which we build Speed To Market focus with the correct 16 questions to bring them perfect market-to-message clarity.

These three questions lead to the quickest and easiest way to build your business plan to ensure the right market to message match.

Write these down right now, and particulary note the third question. This is the key to today’s Speed To Market principle.

If you have NOT answered these three questions before–or if you have not answered them properly–DO NOT do anything more with your business. STOP. (I promise you that you have not answered them properly as I have NOT met one entrepreneur who has!)

The reason why countless entrepreneurs struggle with their business is because they lack Speed To Market focus.

Pure and simple.

Okay, here are the three questions that I want you to ask yourself right now.

1. Who are my top four or five competitors?

I don’t know how many entrepreneurs I have met who have a ‘bright idea’ and create a CD/DVD et cetera without knowing fundamentally who their top competitors are. The number is well over 99%.

Don’t assume you know who your top competitors are in your business niche. In order to know this perfectly, you must fully understand question #2.

2. How does your target market define it’s problem(s).

I have yet to find one entrepreneur in the thousands that I have personally worked with in the area of book marketing and business niche marketing who know how to answer this question.

The secret to building a Speed To Market business is to get into your target market’s mind. In fact, you must do more than get into their mind, you must gain access to their subconscious mind where the negative perception recides. This will ensure perfect market-to-message business niche match and show you exactly how to reframe what you do.

Speed To Market Business Niche Principle: Negative perception always aligns itself with a story. A story is a series of moving pictures that plays repeatedly in one’s subconscious mind. The strength of the story lies not in the content of the moving pictures, but in the context of the moving pictures.

You must get into their mind around the negative perception that they have concerning your competitors.

NOTE: You can’t accurately answer question #1 until you answer question #2 properly. And you can’t answer question #2 properly until you answer question #3 with laser focused precision.

3. The third critical question is this. I want you to write this down word for word because it is that important.

Speed To Market Business Niche Question: What is the negative perception that your target market has of your competitors?

If you are not aware of Question #1 and Question #2, this question is pointless. And yes, Question #3 holds the critical secret to your success.

I have yet to find one entrepreneur who knows the answer to question #3 intuitively.

When you understand this question, you are now ready to move forward.

To faciliate this understanding, we have spent six years designing a system of that comprises the quickest way to build your business niche plan while you are building cash flow with the proper home business skills. These 16 questions are the most empirically sound way to ensure that you are positioned in the market place properly. If you want the one hour audio, you need to phone our office immediately and we will provide you with this.

PLEASE NOTE: As we are in the process of formally registering this system, I am a little leary of blogging about it as there are a number of entrepreneurs attempting to rip us off.

In tomorrow’s business niche blog post, I will share with you the four industry gaps that you need to be aware of as you seek the perfect market-to-message business niche match.

No one is teaching this today which is absolutely critical to your book marketing and business niche cash flow.

Isn’t it time you really applied this Speed To Market business niche principle: “Greater Sameness Will NOT Get You Better Results.”

Five Counter-Intuitive Business Niche Principles To Leverage Your Home Business Skills (Part II)

Rapid book marketing begins with this business niche speed to market principle. Use the Expert Positioner Software (Free Trial) to build your authoring business clarity and simultaneously position yourself to create and sell big ticket programs. Why You Don’t Want To Win Awards For Your Business!

This business niche marketing principle is probably best shown so scoot down and watch the video.

Failure to win traditional marketing awards.

If you have won any traditional awards, it means that you have lowered your marketing efforts to the standard of ‘status quo’.

The standard of excellence inevitably has nothing to do with bottom line business niche market share and revenue production associated with your book authoring and home business skills, but in what I term, ‘cutsie’ or funny ads. The best marketing in the Recommendation Age is always the marketing that most webmasters, friends and other experts will tell you NOT to do.

It is also the kind of marketing that gets your competitors angry because you are so effective!

Speed To Market Principle: Angry competitors, loved ones who tell you “don’t do it!”, and going against the grain of so-called expert advice, these are the three indications that you should proceed with your marketing. Beware of agreement with any of these people!

Homework:

1. How many competitors are ticked off with you? Ask yourself this right now.

2. Watch the video below. Stop standing at the side of your business pool dipping your ‘tootsie’ in deciding whether you should take the big plunge or not. Not only will the indecision kill your Speed To Market business niche momentum, it will be the death knell to your business niche marketing success.

Stay tuned for Counter-Intuitve Business Niche Principle #3.

Five Counter-Intuitive Business Niche Principles To Leverage Your Home Business Skills

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Rapid book marketing begins with this business niche speed to market principle. Use the Expert Positioner Software (Free Trial) to build your authoring business clarity and simultaneously position yourself to create and sell big ticket programs. Selling a $10,000 program is easier than selling a $27 eBook.

Bottom line cost to you for not understanding today’s principle: $9977/sale.

Here is the first counter-intuitive principle of rapid business deployment that I want you to implement right now. (If you are not sure how to implement this business niche principle, please phone our International Headquarters in Canada at 519.542.3043. As former educators, our goal is to teach you specifically how to dominate your business niche.)

Before you watch this principle played out on today’s Speed To Market video, I want you to consider this business niche question:

What is easier. Doing pushups on two basketballs or doing regular pushups from the ground?

I trust that you see that this is a rhetorical question!

That leads me to the first of five critical business niche principles I am going to share with you over the next five blog posts. It has to do with the notion that developing the home business skills begins with understanding that you must understand critical components of sales.

The Expert Positioner Software is the first step to not only help you find your business niche, but to convert your ideal clients into your highest end programs with the correct business niche marketing.

The only difference essentially in selling a $27 eBook and a $10,000 program is posturing and clarity and ensuring you are talking to the right potential clients.

If you are struggling selling a $27 eBook, perhaps you are selling to the wrong target market. But more importantly, you have not discovered one of our Speed To Market principles which I want you to record right now.

Speed To Market Principle: Your twin tickets to freedom are sales and marketing.

Note the bottom line difference to your value in the market place is $9977 to your bottom line by failing to understand this concept.

Your Business Niche Homework:

1. Watch me sweat through this short video to enforce today’s buiness niche principle in your marketing. Don’t make this costly mistake that I see well over 99.94% of entrepreneurs making today based on our case study work of over 1,800 clients. (Accurate statistics are based on the last 1,819 clients we have worked with.)

2. Get your free trial version of The Expert Positioner Software to ensure that you build your business niche with clarity. You will also position your book marketing and niche marketing dominance to sell the most expensive programs in your niche.

3. Phone our International Office at 519.542.3043 and join me for the first live Three Day BizFit Intensive for three long days working with me one-on-one. But only do this if you are tired of playing safe and getting ’status quo’ results.

What Joel Comm Knows About This Book Marketing Strategy That You Don’t Know

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

One of my clients, Joel Comm, just wrote another book entitled, Click Here To Order. You definitely want to order this book, but more importantly you want to apply what we taught Joel about how to build your backend. Go here right now and get this book…as you do so, ask yourself this, “Isn’t it time you developed the kind of credibility to bring you the success that you have always dreamed of?

One of the keys to building a high ticket program off your book is to discover how to sell yourself back to what you really want in the first place. In practical ‘do this now’ terms, selling yourself back to your legacy involves flowcharting from what you want out of life and connecting this to the proverbial fork in the road that you will inevitably experience as you move toward your dream.

What do I mean by this ‘fork in the road’ experience? I mean the point in time where you evaluate whether or not the pain of moving forward is really worth it. This involves analyzing the pressure of moving forward versus the pain of remaining where you are in life.

When you get to this point in your life you will need to evaluate whether the action steps that you must take to move forward are really worth it. In my own case, I had to evaluate whether the risk of moving forward with my business was less than the risk of staying in a job as a Vice Principal that I grew to dislike.

(Yes, the risk of remaining status quo is the greatest risk you can take today.)

Yesterday, I took my youngest son, Cameron, to a Detroit Tigers’ game at Comerica Park where the Tigers were hosting the Yankees. The great tickets that we had and the personalized jersey that Cameron received was a reward for his soccer accomplishments over the summer. This was in part because we have paid coaches to mentor our sons.

While we were enjoying the hot summer’s day, I shared with Cameron that as cool as it is to watch other people live their dreams, in this case major league baseball players, it is even cooler to live your own dreams.

This is one of the reasons that we have our sons record their dreams. We then work backwards to help them set the daily goals they need to take

And here is what holds people back from accomplishing their goals: lack of clarity.

Lack of clarity is the main culprit that held me back for years, until I began to discover a strategy that I taught Joel about creating and selling expensive programs before you begin to sell your book.

Creating and selling high ticket programs while providing clients with a publishing house contract (we are the first in the industry, by the way) is the answer to building massive cash flow and creating the necessary systems for your business success. And the best way to do this is through flowcharting.

Here are five principles that make use of flowcharting to teach you to invert your book marketing efforts and simultaneously author and build high ticketed programs.

1. Always build your backend first. The whole purpose of entrepreneurial authoring is to build laser focus clarity for your business: it’s a combination of writing your book and building out the proper business systems to leverage high ticket programs immediately.

2. Use the Expert Positioner Software to think through your differentiation to ensure market to message match. In other words, how you say what you do in the market place must perfectly correspond with a market place that has ears to hear and a mind to understand what you do.

3. Flowchart out your system of solving a problem. An example of this is found in Module #8 of Basic Authoring For Business Profit from http://AwakenTheAuthorWithin.com. Remember that each stage provides your ideal clients key benefits that they are after. Through the process of deduction, you can construe or figure out the critical problems that you need to become a master at highlighting to your clients.

4. Use the Entrepreneurial Authoring Genealogy trees to create a very detailed TOC (Table of Contents.) Whether you are stuck because of writer’s block or whether you can’t seem to move your business forward, it is simply because you lack clarity. The genealogy tree flowchart system is a unique way to see the problem that you are solving from a color-coded perspective so that your thoughts are well organized.

5. Always tie each activity that you accomplish every day into how this will produce cash flow for your business. The greatest advancements in clarity come when your company is making money.

Remember, your job is to get into the market place as quickly as possible to get feedback. Don’t mistake reading books, listening to CDs and watching DVDs for business advancement.

Yesterday I was able to reward my son with a couple of great tickets at a ball game that he was pumped to attend. His accomplishments are directly tied into the great coaching Fiona and I have paid for, for him as well as teaching him how to flowchart his dreams into specific action steps that he is accomplishing each day.

Joel Comm is one of the thousands of clients we have personally mentored. Isn’t it time you stopped dabbling with success and took your legacy seriously?

Don’t hesitate to phone our International Headquarters in Canada at 519.542.3043 and let us show you specifically what you must do, just like we did for Joel Comm.
